As with any business Rapid Rentals always look to change and update its fleet based on many factors including purchase prices, residual values, running costs, reliability and vehicle condition ie. damage.
Typically we are now keeping our cars on average less than 12 months on fleet this works well for customers who have longer term rentals as there is no inconvenience for tyre changes or servicing we simply change the car. Almost a car for the season if it suits! However on occasions we may therefore ask customers to changeover their existing vehicle and although this may mean a new car it is not intended to cause disruption but minimise the impact of maintenance etc if the car is kept on fleet for longer term.
We will keep vans longer and plan for a 4 year life due to the working nature of the van and to ensure it is financially viable.
